How long do I have to return items to Michaels?
If you’re not completely satisfied with your products, Michaels gives you 60 days from the date of purchase to return any items. There are some conditions that may make a return take longer or make it a bit more of a hassle to do, so read on for those.
Are there exceptions to the Michaels return policy?
Yes, there are a few exceptions to the Michaels return policy. Things like gift cards and prepaid cards can’t be returned or exchanged. Other items, like Cricut® merchandise, must be returned unopened and accompanied by a receipt. Keep in mind, though, that if the item is damaged or defective while under warranty, it’ll have to be returned directly to the manufacturer.
Another exception to the return policy has to do with custom framing orders. If you don’t love your custom frame, don’t worry. Michaels will rework it. Just make sure you take the frame to the same store that did the work within 14 days of the original pickup date.

They can find the original order by either searching their computer database using your personal information like name or phone number, or by looking up the credit or debit card used at the time of purchase.
When returning merchandise from an online order, be aware that there’s a possibility of Michaels deducting some or all of the shipping and handling fees from your refund. Unfortunately, the only real exclusion to this rule is if the arts and crafts supply store itself is deemed responsible for the product error or damage.

Michaels’s return policy on clearance items is pretty easy from what we’ve seen. Just like any other merchandise, simply return the item with its receipt to your local store for a full refund. There are a couple of exceptions to this part of the return policy, though. The first being any merchandise that has been marked ‘Final Sale.’ Whether it’s a clearance item or something marked at full price, if the product bears the words ‘Final Sale,’ Michaels can’t accept it as a return and won’t be able to honor a refund. These items are sold as-is with the understanding that the customer assumes all liability of the product, including any damage or deformity, so Michaels bears no responsibility after purchase.
