Amazon Price Increase Coming 2/18!

Attention Amazon Prime Members! On February 18th, Amazon is increasing the Prime membership price to $119 from $139. This change will also affect current existing Prime members. This price change will occur on any renewal date after March 25th of this year. If you’ve been paying monthly, this will increase by $2.00 more a month, to a new total of $14.99.

Also, the Prime Student membership will increase from $59 to $69 during the same time frame. EBT subscribers will also see an increase of $1.00, to a new total of $6.99.

Want to avoid these price increases?

If you want to avoid these price increases, hurry and buy yourself a Prime Gift a Membership before the 18th of February. Afterwards, disable the auto-renew option on your Prime account found on the Prime homepage. When your Amazon Prime membership expires, you can activate your purchased 1-year Gift Membership and it will be applied to your account. That’s it!

Not a current member? If so, join now! You will get the current $119 price until 2023. This same rule applies to those wanting a Amazon Student membership. Keep in mind that you’ll need an email address that ends in .edu to verify your eligibility.

Our family, like many others, use Amazon Prime benefits weekly. We love watching Amazon Prime and often order from their grocery section. In our opinion, even with the increase, a membership is still worth the price. Amazon continually beats out other retailers on prices, especially on Black Friday and Prime Day. Plus, their 2-day shipping policy, is top notch. I’d suggest purchasing that gift a membership option for yourself now if you are on the fence about canceling your membership.
