Publix does accept competitor coupons

Have a great coupon from a competitor store? You can use it at Publix! Publix does accept competitor store coupons, and even accepts those for private label store coupons. You can use private label coupons from a competitor’s brand to try Publix brand products.

Publix accepts competitor BOGO coupons, buy-one-get-two-free coupons from competitors, and coupons that require you to be a member of a store loyalty program. Publix stores will also accept competitor promotional gift card with purchase coupons as long as they stock the identical items listed on the coupon.

What competitor coupons can you use at Publix? Each Publix store location only accepts competitor coupons of nearby retailers. They post a list of competitors coupons they accept in each Publix store. Ask at the customer service counter at your local Publix store for the competitor coupon list since it may vary by location.

How do I get Publix digital coupons?

Publix offers free digital coupons when you create a free Publix account. Once you are registered for Publix digital coupons and select the ones you want to add to your account. You’ll need to enter your 10-digit phone number at checkout to redeem the coupon.

These digital manufacturer coupons can usually only be used once. If a coupon can be used multiple times in one transaction, you’ll see an icon that displays the number of times it can be redeemed. Each coupon also has an expiration date and will disappear automatically after that date. Publix does have a limit of one manufacturer coupon per item purchased. This means you can only use one digital manufacturer coupon or one paper manufacturer coupon at a time, and not both. If you use a paper coupon, the digital coupon will stay in your account to use in the future. The one exception to this rule is that you can use both digital and paper coupons on the purchase of Publix private label items such as Publix, Publix Premium, Publix Deli, Publix Bakery, and Greenwise.

Walgreens Coupon Policy (Updated for 2020)

Post contains sponsored/affiliate links and I get commissions for purchases made from links.

Walgreens Store Coupon Policy

Walgreens Coupon Policy Breakdown:

Calling ALL Walgreens shoppers! We know how much you all love taking advantage of the awesome deals at Walgreens, but you may be missing out on savings… To help you maximize your savings at Walgreens we put together an in-depth review of Walgreens Coupon Policy. Go ahead and take a couple minutes to review this post and make sure you are getting the most bang for your buck at Walgreens. This would also be a great post to bookmark on your phone and computer to refer any time you are shopping at Walgreens. After reading through this post, you will be a pro at couponing at Walgreens and ready for even greater savings! To get you started, check out our Walgreens Deals section for great savings!

How to score the most savings at Walgreens while adhering to the Walgreens Coupon Policy!

  1. This tip is a MUST because unfortunately some cashiers are up to speed on couponing and some are not, so having the Walgreens Coupon Policy on hand is a must. If the cashier disagrees or is unsure, just politely ask for the Walgreens Manager and they will be glad to assist. Print and carry the official Walgreens Coupon Policy when you shop at Walgreens. It’s always helpful to have it to refer to just in case a dispute comes up. While this may be “common sense,” we recommend being patient with the cashier/manager if a dispute over couponing arises. They may not be as up to speed on their own coupon policy as you will be after reading this article 😉
  2. When using coupons at Walgreens, you MUST present all coupons to the cashier at the time of checkout. We even recommend telling your cashier you have coupons before they scan anything. Showing them the coupons right away will help prevent any frustration or confusion from your cashier. In addition to this guideline, they will not accept any competitor’s coupons. Keep in mind that you can still use manufacturers coupons at any store!
  3. Walgreens does not accept expired coupons. Coupons expire at 11:59 p.m. on the expiration date at the point of sale, whether in-store or online. Walgreens will also not accept fraudulent or counterfeit coupons as determined by Walgreens. This means that it is up to their discretion whether they believe the coupons are counterfeit. Coupons that appear distorted, blurry, or altered in any way shall not be accepted. All coupons must have a clear and scannable barcode. This is extremely important to keep in mind when using Printable Coupons. Be sure to check the expiration date and legibility of the barcode before going in-store to prevent it from being rejected and ruining your deal.

Walgreens in Store

Printable Coupon and Deals Tip: When printing coupons, print in Black & White to save color ink. No place will ever require you to have Printable Coupons in color. This a great way to save money when printing lots of coupons!
  1. The number of manufacturer coupons, including Register Rewards/Savings Rewards manufacturer coupons, shall not exceed the number of items in the transaction. This means that if you are buying 3 items, you cannot use more than 3 coupons regardless of whether they are a manufacturer, digital, or even Register Rewards/Savings Rewards. For example, you could not use 3 manufacturer coupons and 1 Register Reward if buying three items because the number of coupons exceeds the number of items being bought. For this reason, you may need to add some “filler items” to your purchase to maximize your savings. “Filler items” are items that are inexpensive and often priced at $1.00 or less allowing you to use an additional coupon without eating up your savings. In the example above, you could grab a 4th “filler item” to use your Register Rewards or 4th coupon even if it doesn’t apply to the 4th item.
  2. The total value of the coupons shall not exceed the value of the transaction. Basically, you cannot score a Moneymaker (get money back) because the value of your coupons exceeds the value of the items being purchased. This only includes coupons, so you can still earn Register Rewards even if they exceed the amount you spent… giving you a Moneymaker 🙂
  3. Walgreens will not accept coupons that exceed the selling price of an item and no cash back is ever provided in exchange for any coupons. This is crucial to remember because Walgreens will NOT accept a coupon valued at “$3.00 off” for an item priced at $2.99. They will not even price adjust the coupon down to meet the value of the product. You will need to save those coupons and use them at another store that will accept coupons valued at more than an item or at a store where the item is more expensive.

A few last things to keep in mind in regards to Walgreens Coupon Policy… Paper coupons will be processed before digital coupons. Walgreens shall not accept coupons for items not carried in our stores. Walgreens reserves the right to limit quantities to customers and employees. Manufacturer coupons must include a valid redemption address. Walgreens shall accept manufacturer coupons for items that are on sale.

CVS Policy Highlights You Need to Know

  • Be kind and carry the coupon policy. If the cashier disagrees or is unsure, just politely ask for the CVS Manager and they will be glad to assist. Print and carry the official CVS coupon policy. You can ask the manager to show you why that coupon or deal won’t work, or if you know it should work according to the CVS coupon policy you can politely point it out to them. (In most cases the CVS cashiers are friendly and willing to make things work once they understand.)
  • All coupons must be presented during checkout, be legible and have a scannable barcode. CVS will not accept copied, scanned, altered, mobile scans or expired coupons per the CVS Coupon Policy.
  • To ensure you are getting all discounts, especially those loaded you’re your card, CVS Pharmacy Coupons or Extra Bucks rewards, please present the ExtraCare card immediately at checkout. This way they will scan your card before any items to ensure you get all the discounts.
  • Per the CVS coupon policy, Individual coupon value cannot exceed the value of the item it to which it is applied.
  • CVS Pharmacy coupons generally cannot be used on sale, promotional or clearance items. Other restrictions may apply.  You can only use one time‐, brand‐, or category specific CVS Pharmacy coupon and one manufacturer’s coupon per qualifying item unless prohibited by either coupon.
  • CVS honors manufacturer limitations. And remember, CVS has the right to refuse or limit the use of any coupon and/or any returns for any reason.
  • Multiple coupons can be used, on sale items as well, as long as all qualification are met. (Note for multiple coupons you cannot use multiple manufacturer coupons on one item, you would need to have a one Manufacturer coupon, one CVS coupon.)
  • Depending on the type of coupon, some coupons are charged tax pre-coupon price, except in the following states, CT, MA, MO, PA, TX, the tax is often charge after the coupon is applied.
  • Look for individual product limits when purchasing multiples of any one product. While CVS does not place limits, individual stores can.
  • Percentage off coupons can only be used on regular priced items. While CVS allows percent off coupons to be used with regular priced/non-promotional items, if there are exclusions to the rule, they’ll print it on the sign at the product on display.
  • For any ECB’s or CVS rewards you have loaded on your card you will need to tell your cashier if you want to use it during the transaction. You don’t have to use them. One reason you wouldn’t want to use them is to maximize your savings as when you use an ECB lets say for $10 and you only spent $5 well you lose that other $5. So make sure when using an ECB your total is right at or even over the value of the ECB. (Yes you can use ECB’s and Coupons)
  • Coupons or ECB’s past their expiration will not be excepted. I know in the past sometimes ECB’s have been accepted past expiration date but they are no longer supposed to do this. So make sure to use them before they expire!
  • Reading the fine print on your coupons before your shopping trip will ensure a speedy time at the register.

Happy shopping and saving at CVS. We hope your shopping trip runs a little smoother thanks to the Printable Coupons and deals CVS coupon policy tips and summary. Again if you don’t have a CVS extracare card click here and signup for one so you don’t miss out on savings. Dollar General Coupon Policy

Dollar General Coupon Policy: (Updated 2020)

If you’re like me, then you love your Dollar General Store! I go in there often as the stores seem to be everywhere. I go in to grab a few items and end up with an entire shopping cart of stuff because of the great deals. To help you maximize your savings at Dollar General, we spent many hours digging into the Dollar General Coupon Policy to make it easy for you to understand. A great place to start saving (after reading this post), is to download the Dollar General App to your mobile device, to check the weekly ads as well as load your Digital Coupons. Before you tackle couponing at Dollar General, make sure you check out our breakdown of the Dollar General Coupon Policy below to ensure bigger savings and easy checkout. We help your dollar stretch every time you shop at Dollar General with this helpful guide on Dollar Generals Coupon Policy. Don’t forget to visit our list of Dollar General Deals for great sales and deals that meet these guidelines!

How to get the most savings at Dollar General while adhering to the Dollar General Coupon Policy!

  1. When shopping with coupons always remember to be kind to the cashier as you don’t know if they had rude customers before you or they are new.
  2. At times, some cashiers aren’t always up to date on the latest Dollar General coupon policy. Due to this make sure to have the policy on hand will make things go smoothly.  Print and carry the official Dollar General coupon policy as rarely will the store have them at the checkout.
  3. Dollar General will accept Printable Coupons, manufacturer coupons, and Dollar General Store printed or digital coupons.
  4. You are limited to 5 coupons for the same product. Meaning if in one transaction you are buying 6 bottles of Febreeze you cannot use more than 5 coupons for Febreeze in one transaction. Note this is not limiting you to 5 coupons but five coupons for the same product.
  5. You may not stack 2 manufacturers (paper, print or digital) for one product. You can only use 1 manufacturer coupon per product, whether the coupon is paper or digital doesn’t matter. This means if you have a digital coupon in your Dollar General app and a paper coupon you can only use one unless the Dollar General coupon explicitly states it’s a store coupon in the App. Many times you can stack a manufacturer coupon and the Dollar General $5 off $20 purchase coupon. So you can use 2 coupons but on must be a DG Store Coupon.
  6. If you have overage due to Coupons used in a transaction it will be applied to the purchase of other items in your transaction. Dollar General does not give cash back when coupons create an overage. What I do is if there is an overage make sure to buy something else you can use so you get that item basically free.

Dollar General Store Coupons

What does Dollar General Does not allow?

  1. All coupon offers available only while quantities last. Meaning if you the are sold out of an item that is on sale you are out of luck. I have found they do sometimes restock, so make sure to check back.
  2. Dollar General does not match competitor Ad prices. Sadly it means exactly what is says. They do not price match other stores prices or sales.
  3. Dollar General doesn’t offer any multiplying of coupons, you get the face value applied and that’s it. This means no double coupons.
  4. Don’t signup for multiple Dollar General Coupon Accounts. You are only allowed to have one per person. (FYI, you can have an account for yourself and your spouse.)
  5. Free Items with no purchase requirement. Meaning Buy one Get one Frees are allowed. But completely Free items won’t be accepted at Dollar General. Save those coupons for another store.
  6. If the coupon doesn’t scan they don’t have to push it thru. I know this can be annoying for printable or old coupons, but they do this to protect against fraud.

We hope your shopping trip runs a little smoother thanks to the Printable Coupons and Deals the Dollar General coupon policy tips and summary. • Does Walmart accept multiple coupons for one item?
    • NO. One coupon per item. If you buy five items you can use 5 coupons. Per transaction on a coupon means your entire purchase.
  4. The item isn’t the same price at my Walmart, Why is there a price difference between different Walmart stores?
    • Each Walmart store is required to manage and price its own inventory. Therefore, a store manager may lower a price to move excess stock of an item, offer in-store on Rollbacks (What Walmart calls sales) or offer Rollbacks to compete with other local stores sales ads.
  5. How does Walmart’s Price matching work? (Note Unfortunately come stores are phasing out Price Matching and only matching to Walmart.com . )
    • If you find a lower price from an online retailer on an identical, in-stock product, tell your Checker and they’ll match it. NOTE: It is limited to one item per customer per day. They must be able to pull up the website and sale showing it current at the time of purchase. The item must be sold and fulfilled by one of these online retailers:
    • Academy.com, Amazon.com, Autozone.com, Babiesrus.com, Basspro.com, Bedbathandbeyond.com, Bestbuy.com, Cabelas.com, Chewy.com, Dickssportinggoods.com, Dollargeneral.com, Familydollar.com, Homedepot.com, Jcpenny.com, Kmart.com, Kohls.com, Lowes.com, Michaels.com, Newegg.com, Officedepot.com, Oreillyauto.com, Pepboys.com, Petco.com, Petsmart.com, Sears.com, SportsAuthority.com, Staples.com, Target.com, Toysrus.com, Walgreens.com
  6. Does Walmart issue rain checks?
    • YES. When an item on Rollback is out of stock at your Walmart store, go to checkout or customer service and upon your request, they will issue you a Rain Check to purchase the item at the advertised price when it comes back in stock. They may also sell you a similar item at the advertised price, or offer you a similar reduction in price.
  7. For those larger coupon trips a checker will need a supervisor if: (remember being nice goes a long way)
    • You are using 4 or more like coupons per transaction.
    • A coupon you are using is of $5 and over value.
    • When trying to use $50 or more in coupons in one transaction.
    • When trying to use Coupons totaling a percentage (%) off of the total sale.

Kroger Coupon Policy - Store

Kroger Coupon Policy: (Updated 2020)

Kroger is one of my favorite grocery stores to shop at, although in some places they have a Kroger Marketplace that is looking to compete with Walmart. The Kroger marketplace is like a normal Kroger plus clothes, household items, toys and more. We know the Kroger Coupon Policy can be confusing for even the most avid Kroger Shopper. We spent many hours reading and studying Kroger Coupon Policy to make it easy for anyone to understand. We want you to shop at Kroger and maximize your savings on every shopping trip. All of the deals we post in our Kroger Deals section that abides by the Kroger Coupon Policy, to ensure you have a great Kroger shopping experience.

Tips for adhering to Kroger’s Coupon Policy:

  1. This tip is a MUST because unfortunately, some cashiers or store associates aren’t always up to date on the newest coupon policy. Due to this make sure to have the policy on hand will make things go smoothly. If the cashier or store associate disagrees or is unsure, just politely ask for the Kroger Store Manager and they will be glad to assist in any issue you might be having with a transaction. Print and carry the official Kroger coupon policy as rarely will the store have them at the checkout.
  2. Kroger will accept Printable Coupons, manufacturer coupons, only pharmacy competitor coupons, and checkout coupons (Catalinas).
  3. Kroger’s store managers have the right to make the final call on any coupons used.  I have found most store managers are following the rules and are glad to see you save money but in the end they make the call whether you can use coupons for the items or not.  Kroger site states: “Store Management has the right to accept, decline or limit the use of ANY coupon(s). Store Management has the right to limit the quantity of coupons and/or items purchased in a single transaction, by a single Customer, or in a single day.”
  4. You are limited to 5 coupons for the same product. Meaning if in one transaction you are buying 6 bottles of tide you cannot use more than 5 coupons for Tide Laundry detergent in one transaction. Note this is not limiting you to 5 coupons but five coupons for the same product.
  5. You can only use 1 manufacturer coupon per product, whether the coupon is paper or digital doesn’t matter. This means if you have a digital coupon in your Kroger app and a paper coupon you can only use one. I have found in most cases the paper coupons have higher value, so to avoid issues make sure you don’t have the digital coupon saved in your app or if you do remove it before checkout. This will help you avoid issues of being forced to use the digital coupon when you want to use the paper coupon.
  6. Their policy states that they MAY limit you to only 2 internet/printable coupons a day. I have found that this isn’t enforced or used unless you come in with a bunch of printable coupons that they suspect are invalid or fakes. I have done plenty of trips where I used as much as 10 printable coupons with no issue.
  7. The last and one of our best tips is to make sure to check out all of the Kroger deals that we post on Printablecouponsanddeals.com. As we make sure all our Kroger deals posts follow the Kroger Coupon Policy.

Tips on Combining Kroger Coupons & Sales:

  1. You can use coupons on sale items. Meaning if an item is on sale for $.99 and you have $.50 off coupon for that item you can get that item for only $.49.
  2. You can use coupons on Mix & Match and Mega promotions.  For Kroger, the majority of the sales or promotions have been instant savings when you buy 10 items. For example Mix & Match 10 items, Get $5.00 off instantly at checkout. This Mix & Match sale means that when you buy 10 of the items listed in the Mix & Match you get an additional $0.50 off each item as part of the sale. You can buy 10 of one item or 10 different items it doesn’t matter as long as you buy 10. If you buy less than 10, you don’t get the additional savings. Plus you can use coupons with this promotion to get even more savings. Remember only 1 coupon per item.
  3. You will get Catalina coupons (coupons that print out at checkout) even if you can use coupons on the sale item.
  4. Get your Weekly Kroger Freebie. Almost every week Kroger gives loyalty card holders a free item. Click Here to get the latest free item.
