Couponing Resolutions for 2015

2015

As 2015 is about to begin, I think back on the past year of things I feel I did well and the things I feel like I didn’t do so well. This year I decided to put a pen to my resolutions and decided to make a resolution even for my couponing and decided I would share.

1. I will decrease my spending by at least 5%! Ways I will do this is by using up my stockpile, do I really need to buy more shampoo when I have 10 bottles already. (This doesn’t mean I will pass up coupon freebies but will just be more aware of what I have and what I need).

2. I will only buy something without a coupon or on sale unless it is urgent. Common fellow couponers lets admit it, on those splurge items you pay full price :), I know I do. But this year I resolve to only pay full price if it is a must, not an impulse buy.

3. I will make a list and STICK to it! I always have my coupons and usually have a list but I have found that when I see a deal I can’t pass it up…. But do I really need it (Back to number 1 knowing what you have and need).

4. I will make the most of store rewards. Rite Aid, CVS and Walgreens have awesome sales when you combine them with store rewards. I know at times I have taken advantage of deals while in store but forget to use my Rite Aid, CVS or Walgreens rewards that I have earned.

5. I will try to plan my trips better. Many times I find myself heading out to score one deal so I don’t miss it, but in turn by making a few trips during the day I am spending more in gas. I am going to be more proactive in trying to plan my trips when possible. As sometimes a deal is so good it can’t wait or you will miss out :).
